Islamabad, March 18, 2019 (PPI-OT): According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan on the issue of India-Pakistan relations post Pulwama Attack (full report available at http://gallup.com.pk/pakistani-opinion-remains-calm-and-unprovoked-during-threat-of-war-with-india/), 7 in 10 (70%) Pakistanis oppose the initiation of war with India.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “If the condition stays the same then should Pakistan initiate the war or not?” In response to this question, 21% said yes, while 70% opposed the initiation of war with India. 9% did not know or did not wish to respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1044 men and women in urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during 02 March – 05 March, 2019. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level.
