Islamabad, March 28, 2019 (PPI-OT): According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan on the issue of India-Pakistan relations post Pulwama Attack (full report available at http://gallup.com.pk/pakistani-opinion-remains-calm-and-unprovoked-during-threat-of-war-with-india/), 44% believe that (if war requires) Pakistan will use its atomic weapons; 41% believe to the contrary.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Will Pakistan use its atomic weapons or not?” In response to this question, 44% believe Pakistan will use atomic weapons, while 41% say Pakistan will not. 15% did not know or did not wish to respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1044 men and women in urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during 02 March – 05 March, 2019. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level.
