Lahore, September 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):Continuing Engineering Education and Training center, New Campus UET Lahore in collaboration with Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences Services hospital Lahore arranged one day seminar on Mental Health Awareness title early identification of Mental Health.
The agenda of Seminar was to highlight importance of Mental Health as it is “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community” and these efforts will reduce the stigma around mental illness and mental health conditions.
The guest of honor Prof Dr Shahid Imran, Chairman Mechanical Engineering department, New Campus, UET Lahore, speakers were Dr Sumaira Qamber Bokhari, Head of Psychiatry department, services Hospital Lahore and Mrs Asia Manzoor, Senior clinical psychologist department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences Services hospital Lahore.
Heads of various departments of University of Engineering Technology and students attended this Seminar and acknowledge the importance of Mental Health Awareness to reduce stigma of mental disorders. Prof Dr Mohsin Kazmi, Director Continuing Engineering Education and Training center, decided to continue these kind of sessions in future.
