Lahore, October 01, 2021 (PPI-OT):Provincial Minister for Communications Sardar Asif Nakai called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in the Assembly Chamber. Secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti and Secretary Communications Capt (retd) Asad were also present on the occasion. Parliamentary affairs and other issues of the Punjab Assembly were discussed during the meeting.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi said that the Assembly is fully active in the matter of legislation; record legislation has been enacted in the Punjab Assembly as compared to other Assemblies. He said that as the custodian of the House, he has always encouraged legislation on public issues by the members of the Assembly and has provided a conducive environment for legislation to the government as well as the esteemed members of the opposition. Provincial Minister Asif Nakai appreciated the efforts of Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi and said that he listened to the public issues raised by government and opposition members on priority basis and played a positive role in expediting the legislative process.
