Islamabad, September 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received a warm welcome at Muzaffargarh Bypass. His cavalcade was showered with rose petals and the PPP workers danced on the drum beat and raised slogans. Chairman PPP briefly addressed the workers and said that the people of Punjab want to send the Buzdar government home. Imran Khan has robbed your vote, your pocket, your stomach and your right to work. Pakistan Peoples Party will establish Awami Raj in the country.
In Dera Ghazi Khan Chairman Bilawal visited poet Shaheed Mohsin Naqvi’s residence and condoled with his son Asad Abbas Naqvi and offered fateha. He said that Shaheed Mohsin Naqvi’s poetry was for the common people and people still recite his poetry. Shaheed Mohsin Naqvi challenged the dictators of the time and his poetry is an asset for Urdu literature.
Addressing workers’ convention in Dera Ghazi Khan, which turned out to be a huge public gathering, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the next government will be of the PPP and the next Prime Minister of Pakistan will be a Jiyala. He said that there is a relation of three generation between the PPP and the people of this region. I have come here to restore that relation so that we can take Pakistan to new heights.
The people of this region had written a new history by supporting Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto became the first woman Prime Minister of the entire Muslim world. The people of Pakistan are in pain. The labourers, growers, businessmen, traders and students among others are suffering due to this selected Prime Minister, Imran Khan. Imran Khan has brought historic price hike, unemployment and poverty with him.
Chairman PPP said that Quaid-e-Awam made lives of growers and labourers easy and prosperous. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto brought employment with her. President Zardari gave every poor woman economic emancipation and introduced the Benazir Income Support Programme. In his government growers were flourishing as Pakistan was exporting wheat. The CPEC started. The people were ignored after the PPP government. We have come out to save the poor people of Pakistan and we will not forgive Imran Khan for making their lives difficult.
We will hold Imran Khan accountable for all the crimes he has committed against the poor people of Pakistan. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto provided 20 thousand young people with employment but Nawaz Sharif sacked them when he came to power. Then in President Zardari’s tenure our Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani reinstated these 20 thousands employees through Parliament. Now during the government of this callous Imran Khan, these employees have again made jobless. Imran Khan had promised 1 crore jobs and 50 lac houses but instead he is snatching jobs, roti, kapra and makan.
He said that the PTI and PML-N benefit the rich which does not add to the Pakistani economy. The PPP benefits the poor people of Pakistan which strengthens the economy of the country. PPP is the party which increased salaries up to 175 percent. Now we have to take the manifesto of Shaheed Quaid-e-Awam and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto door to door. We will go to every district in Punjab and we say that whoever has raised the slogan of Jeay Bhutto is needed by the country and the Party.
Chairman Bilawal promised Saraiki Waseb and said that only the PPP can establish Saraiki Waseb. Earlier in the day Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met columnists and editors at the Peoples Secretariat Multan. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had discussions with the columnists and editors in detail regarding political issues of the country.
Speaking to the editors and columnists Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the PPP government laid a network of development works in South Punjab and gave a Prime Minister from South Punjab. If transparent elections are held in the country, then PPP will win from all over the country. PPP has done the most for South Punjab. First, Mian Sahib was given majority and then Imran Khan was brought. National Action Plan is not being implemented in the country. Pakistan Peoples Party wants a prosperous, progressive and a democratic Pakistan.
Chairman PPP said that the Pakistan Peoples Party was harmed in Punjab under a conspiracy and everyone knows how it happened. The people of South Punjab are also benefiting from the NICVD project in Sindh. Recommendations of parliamentary commission headed by Farhatullah Babar regarding provincial autonomy should be implemented. The present government wants to snatch the identity of the cultural units of the country.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Mian Nawaz Sharif has to decide his own return to the country but people do not accept the Altaf Hussain and Ashraf Ghani model. People want their leadership to be among them. PDM parties do not want to remove Usman Buzdar or overthrow Imran Khan’s government. PDM parties can’t get any success with their frivolous attitude. On the first day of this government, I had called Imran Khan selected in the National Assembly.
We won the Senate seat against Imran Khan. During the PPP regime, a bag of DAP fertilizer was available for Rs 3,500 and today it is Rs 7,000. A bag of urea fertilizer, which was available at Rs 1,200 during PPP rule, has gone up to Rs 2,000 today. When PPP forms government, prices will be reduced by restoring fertilizer subsidy. Expensive electricity, fertilizer and diesel have made it impossible for farmers to produce a good crop, which has ruined the economy. Pakistan Peoples Party will give special packages for farmers of Punjab in its government.
Chairman PPP said that the federal government pretended to set up a secretariat in South Punjab. We cannot leave Punjab to the incompetent government of Usman Buzdar. Opposition could not be on one page due to the misrepresentation of some PDM parties. The PPP will solve people’s problems by forming next government. The PPP also carried out electoral reforms after which the Leader of the Opposition and the Election Commission became powerful.
Reforms are done by consensus but this government wants to impose reforms. The PPP is the only party that made its worker the Prime Minister. The PML-N with the connivance of the establishment harmed PPP in Punjab. My father was tortured the worst during PML-N era but we ignored it all. The parties in the PDM are confused, they say they will resign, but if they resign, how will they bring a no-confidence motion according to their plan, Chairman Bilawal asked.
Speaking at a reception in honour of the notables of the city of Multan, intellectuals, civil society members, business community and professionals hosted by the PPP district Multan organisation at the Peoples Secretariat Multan on 4 September, the Chairman PPP said that Pakistan Peoples Party has a consistent policy from Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and from President Asif Ali Zardari till today, and that is pro-people policy.
Chairman PPP said that the PPP gave an Islamic, democratic and federal constitution and we can only prosper by following that constitution. We respect different points of view as the society can develop by respecting and accepting diverse points of views. It is unfortunate that the current government’s views and politics are anti-people. The government has antagonist attitude towards every section of the society. We have to build trust in the business community for progress.
The society which invests in the people can change the lives of the people. The business community has insecurity and fear in this government thus reduction in tax revenue. The tax generation in Sindh is more than that of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had introduced public-private partnership in government and we are practising this in Sindh and it has become 5th in this public-private partnership philosophy in the region. We have been expressing our reservations that Sindh is not being given our resources but we have not stopped there rather, have made progress while working with the business community.
We want to benefit labourers by giving them their rights. We have to consider the labour force as an asset. The economy runs when we work for the benefit of people from grass root to the highest level. We have to engage everyone to run the economy from the growers to labourers. We are an agricultural country and unless our grower is not prospered the country cannot be strengthened. Unfortunate Imran Khan has created an agricultural emergency and every grower is suffering. Now we are taking the philosophy of Shaheed Quaid-e-Awam and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to the people. The people should give the opportunity to the young leadership of the PPP to serve the people. The PPP will Insha Allah win the next elections.
