Bahawalpur, November 04, 2022 (PPI-OT): Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob attended the ceremony titled “Climbing Up the Ladder: Acknowledging Ranking Achievements of Universities in Punjab” held at Punjab Higher Education Commission Lahore and received appreciation shield as IUB’s tremendous rise in the international ranking was highly praised during the event. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asad Ullah Madni, Director QEC, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Atif, Director ORIC, Dr. Shahzad Karim, Chief Librarian and Mr. Muhammad Khalid Sheikh, Executive Secretary to Vice Chancellor also attended.
Punjab Higher Education Commission is delighted to share that Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023 has ranked 15 universities of Punjab among the top 1200 universities of the world. This reflects the commitment of the universities towards improving their performance, especially in four key areas including teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook, regarded as vital for the quality and standard of higher education.
The universities are the key stakeholders of the Punjab Higher Education Commission in its mission to bring qualitative improvement in the higher education sector in Punjab; their achievements are ours. To acknowledge the achievements and commitment of these 15 universities, the Punjab Higher Education Commission is hosting a ceremony titled “Climbing Up the Ladder: Acknowledging Ranking Achievements of Universities in Punjab” held on November 2nd, 2022.
