Virtual University of Pakistan and The Military Land Record Have Signed a Memorandum of Understanding

Lahore, March 24, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Virtual University of Pakistan and the Military Land Record have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to conduct computerized recruitment tests for aspiring candidates across Pakistan. The MOU signing ceremony was held today at the Military Land Record head office, and was attended by the senior officials from both organizations. The Virtual University is one of the leading government universities in Pakistan, providing high-quality education through its online platform. The university has been actively involved in promoting online education and has introduced several online degree programs. The Military Land Record, on the other hand, is a government agency responsible for maintaining land records in the country.

Under the terms of the MOU, the Virtual University will provide technical support and expertise to the Military Land Record to conduct computerized recruitment tests for various positions. The computerized tests will be conducted through the university’s platform, which will ensure transparency, efficiency, and reliability in the recruitment process. Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of Virtual University, Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhati TI, SI, said, “We are delighted to collaborate with the Military Land Record to conduct online recruitment tests. This MOU will not only enhance the credibility and transparency of the recruitment process but will also promote the use of technology in the public sector.”

The Director-General of Military Land Record, Major General Tariq Zamir HI (M), Director General, also expressed his pleasure at the collaboration, saying, “The online recruitment tests will help us in identifying the most competent and qualified candidates for our organization. We look forward to a successful partnership with Virtual University of Pakistan.” The MOU signing ceremony marks a significant milestone in the use of technology in the public sector of Pakistan. The collaboration between the Virtual University of Pakistan and the Military Land Record is expected to set an example for other government agencies to follow, promoting the use of technology to improve transparency, efficiency, and reliability in the recruitment process.

Request for Rescheduling of Missed/Unplanned Paper(S) – Fall 2022 Final Term Examinations

The re-schedule chance shall be provided only once.

 

Rescheduling fee is non-refundable in any case irrespective of his/her appearance in rescheduled paper(s).

The Rescheduled Exam for both local and overseas students shall be conducted as per the following schedule:

Fee voucher(s) of prescribed fee shall be payable before the announcement of fall 2022 Final Term result.

Login to VULMS.

 

Open VULMS– Student Services– Examinations Department– Apply for Rescheduling of Papers.

 

(The missed paper(s) shall be available for rescheduling after 24 hours of actual paper time.)

 

Select Preferred City of Appearance from the drop-down list.

 

Note: (Overseas Students shall select Preferred City as “Overseas”).

 

Submit Request.

 

Once your request is duly processed, a confirmation email shall be sent on your VU email address (Please check Inbox/Spam/Junk-Email) from no-reply@vu.edu.pk. (University requires at least 24-48 hours for processing your request).

 

The schedule for rescheduled paper(s) shall be updated on your Exam Entrance Slip. Now, you must take a fresh print out of your Exam Entrance slip from http://datesheet.vu.edu.pk

Seminar on Entrepreneurship Organized by BIC and SSBC 

Lahore, February 28, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Business Incubation Center (BIC) under the umbrella of ORIC, VUP in collaboration with the Student Start-up Business Center (SSBC), VUP organized an awareness seminar on “Entrepreneurship” with the theme “How easy it is to become an Entrepreneur?” VU students, Alumni, Faculty, and Staff from 11 campuses across Pakistan participated in the awareness seminar through different modes including video conferencing.

Dr. Faisal Tehseen Shah, Director of ORIC delivered the opening remarks at the event and welcomed all the guests. Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Saleem, Assistant Professor, Virtual University of Pakistan, Mr. Waqas Ahmed, CEO Pak Star Automobile (Pvt.) Ltd. and Ms. Mehreen Omer, CEO of Myne’s Cakery delivered valuable sessions at the seminar as keynote speakers.

All the guest speakers shared their entrepreneurial experiences and guided the participants about how a new entrant can stand a business in the competitive market. The representative of BIC and SSBC also guided the VU students about how they can get funding of up to Rs. 500,000/- along with training from the VU and industry experts.

In the end, Dr. Zafar Alvi, Project Director of the DigiSkills Training Program was invited as the Chief Guest of the Ceremony. He guided the students to take a step in the field of Entrepreneurship. He emphasized the students focus on developing their skills which will help them a lot in launching their startups. The students also get a free trial of an electric scooter brought by Pak Star Automobile (Pvt.) Ltd.

Internship Program Completed by The Students of Mass Communication at The VUTV Network 

Lahore, February 28, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Mass Communication Department, VUP organized a 6-week internship program for the students of BS and MS Mass Communication programs at the Virtual University Television Network (VUTV) which concluded in Feb 2023.

During the internship, practical training was imparted to the students to enhance their skills in accordance with the latest trends and requirements of the media industry. The internees were given specific knowledge/training of Mobile Journalism (MOJO) also and its utilization in the field by certified domain experts. At the end of the internship program, the internees showcased their short video projects.

Director ICT, VU, Mr. Ehsan Zafar Puri, and General Manager, VU Television Network, Mr. Baber Ali appreciated the work done by the internees and awarded them certificates. The internees expressed their gratitude and acknowledged a well-crafted and informative internship program by VUTV.
