Award winning IEEE UET Faisalabad Campus

Lahore, March 13, 2023 (PPI-OT):Department of Electrical, Electronics and Telecom Engineering, Faisalabad Campus is thrilled to share the news that student branch of IEEE-UET Faisalabad has won three award categories of IEEE-FAISALABAD sub-section for the year 2022 by good annual performance and outstanding contribution to IEEE-Faisalabad sub-section. The IEEE student branches of various universities in Faisalabad region submitted their nominations against the mentioned categories and the nominations were evaluated by Award Evaluation Committee (Dr. Asma Sajjad and Mr. Zubair Gill) of IEEE-Faisalabad Subsection. Congratulations to all the winners.

Techno Mela EETED Faisalabad Campus

Lahore, March 13, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Department of Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, UET Faisalabad Campus organized Inter-University technical and non-technical competitions (Project Exhibition, Project Poster Competition, Speed Programming, Code Debug, Speed Wiring, Speed Soldering, Solid Works/Auto CAD, STEM Quiz, Calligraphy, Sketching, Painting, Photography, Build the Tower, E-Gaming) to enhance the technical knowledge, technical skills and thought-provoking phenomenon among students. Student societies “SEEE” and “MACS” played a vital role.

The event was attended by various Universities (FAST-NUCES Faisalabad, GCU Faisalabad, Government College Women University Faisalabad, National Textile University Faisalabad, NFC-IEFR Faisalabad, The University of Faisalabad) of Faisalabad region. The students and faculty from above mentioned Universities of Faisalabad participated enthusiastically and appreciated the efforts of organizers. The winners of these competitions were awarded “Cash Prizes” and “Acknowledgement Certificates” to encourage them.

Industrial Guest Lecture on the Importance of Colour Psychology in Product Design, organized by PID Department, UET LHR

Lahore, March 13, 2023 (PPI-OT):The PID dept. invited Mr. Ali Tahir to share his expertise on the subject of Colour psychology in product Design. Ali graduated from the department of product and industrial design and paved his path into the industry with extreme accountability. He is serving as a Product manager of TOCDOC.

Ali delivered positive engagement among students by sharing interactive visuals and case studies to empower students to use this knowledge in their tasks with confidence. The speaker ended his lecture with thanks to the chairman PID Dr. Atif Bilal Aslam and the lecture organizers: Ms. Fariha Saeed (Ass. Professor), and Ms. Aiman Amjad for inviting him to the department and encouraging such initiatives of industrial collaborations taken by product and industrial design department, UET, LHR.

IEEE Faisalabad Student, Young Professionals, Women in Engineering Congress (FSYWC) 2023

Lahore, March 13, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Faisalabad sub-section of IEEE organizes IEEE FSWYC on annual basis to bring closer the students, professionals and women in engineering in order to exchange knowledge and to enhance technical and education abilities in Faisalabad region. Fortunately, this year the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Telecom Engineering was honoured to host this Congress at UET Faisalabad with the efforts of IEEE UET Faisalabad Branch. The congress was attended by students, industrialists and Educated elite from Faisalabad region. The attendees of the Congress were distributed “goodies bag”, “souvenir shields” and “certificates”.

The industries of Faisalabad region established their stalls at Faisalabad Campus and offered various internships/jobs/placements to our Campus and other Universities students. The food stalls were also arranged on this occasion for the refreshment of guests and students. Ms. Sobia Aqeel, executive member of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FCCI) was our Chief Guest on this occasion and she expressed her desire to support the Department in future to organize such educational activities.
