Lahore, February 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):Dr. Nassar Ikram, Pro-Rector, UCP, and Mr. Asim Rauf, CEO, DRAP signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. Dr. Mahtab A. Khan, Dean FoPS, all Directors of DRAP including Mr. Akhtar Abbas Khan, Director Licensing, Dr. Obaidullah, Director of Pharmacy Services, and Dr. Fakarrudin Amer were also present at the ceremony.

Both organizations have agreed to facilitate scientific progress in academia through the exchange of knowledge and expertise and open new opportunities for training and mutual collaborations.

Lahore, February 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):FoPS organized its first 3-day sports mega event to provide students with a healthy environment. UCP is an SGD-engaged university; thus, this event complied with SGD goals. Lahore, February 15, 2023 (PPI-OT):FoMS, Department of Management and Entrepreneurship has taken an initiative to foster the entrepreneurial culture at UCP in collaboration with BRET Solutions Company. Dean FoMS, Dr. Muhammad Athar Siddiqui signed a MoU with the company. Managing Partner BRET Solutions, Mr. Muhammad Nauman and Business Partner BRET Solutions, Ms. Tahira presented the key features of UMARKT application for UCP students. Speaking on the occasion, Dean FOMS shared that this partnership would help UCP-BRET support the budding entrepreneurs who are keen to start their entrepreneurial journey while studying at UCP.

Both organizations agreed on the following scope of the understanding:

Organising free mentoring sessions for UCP Students using the UMRKT application.

Workshops for doing online business on the UMARKT application.

Organising and sponsoring innovation-led competitions.

BRET to enable entrepreneurship culture by providing consultancy services in mentoring, business planning, website development, product development, project management, and outreach to UCP students.

Lahore, February 14, 2023 (PPI-OT):Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh from the Faculty of Science and Technology has won a research project worth Rs 7.4 Million under the Joint Scientific Exchange Program between Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The project titled “Application of spectral process manufacturing analysis technology in intelligent manufacturing” would be joint research between UCP and Shandong University of Science and Technology, China.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh is one of the leading researchers at UCP who is acclaimed internationally. Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology appreciated Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, for winning the research project through a competitive process, assuring her full support in its execution. Dr. Nassar Ikram, UCP’s Pro-Rector congratulated the Dean and Dr Farrukh team for securing the project which would enable UCP in advancing research, international linkages, and collaborations aimed to create societal impact.
