MBBS students don white coats, celebrate the beginning of medical studies at UMDC 

Faisalabad, February 17, 2023 (PPI-OT):First Year Students of 20th batch of MBBS get a warm welcome with White Coat ceremony at UMDC on February 13, 2023. It was a much-awaited moment and special occasion for the fresh entrants as their seniors and professors were there to welcome them into the College premises.

After donning their new white coats, presented by the second year students, they recited the Oath pledging allegiance to the medical profession, their companions, and seniors and urged to prioritize their duties towards their patients. During orientation and welcome program held in Ali Auditorium, Mr Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman BoG in his address welcomed the first year students.

He assured the fresh entrants that our highly qualified faculty with state of the art infrastructure is doing their best to make their education adequate to modern healthcare achievements and give them the opportunity to become highly qualified and successful professionals. ‘We are committed to lead this institution to improve the healthcare through excellence in medical education, research activities and patients care in the region’, he added.

Prof Dr Aamir Ali Choudhry, Principal UMDC welcomed the new MBBS class and called upon them to render hard work for building a bright future. In his presentation he gave brief introduction of all the departments.

He said that the college accounted for its state of the art infrastructure and experienced faculty and staff. He urged the new comers to take full advantage of these opportunities for becoming successful medical professionals and serve the society. He emphasized the importance of the medical profession and made them understand their responsibilities.

TUF signed MOU with Zameen.com

Faisalabad, February 17, 2023 (PPI-OT):In order to strengthen the working relationship on Industry-Academia Linkages on February 14, 2022 an MOU has been signed between The University of Faisalabad (TUF) and Zameen.com. He threw light on the personality of Hazrat Salman Farsi (RA). He said that Hazrat Salman Farsi born in Esfahan, Iran in the bigning of Eighteenth century. He was very humble companion of Holy Prophet Muhammad SAWW. He performed an important role during the battle of Ditch in 627 to give the suggestion for digging a ditch around Madina Monawwra for its protection.

This event was chaired by Prof (Meritorious) Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman however; Mr. Faisal Meer – Associate Director Sales of Zameen.com participated along with his team. During discussion both organizations shared their views on industrial-academic linkages and praised the Placement Bureau of TUF and Zameen.com HR team for its efforts.

World Pharmacist Day 

Faisalabad, October 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):World Pharmacist Day, celebrated by the students of Department of Pharmacy, pays tribute to the nation’s savers. Pharmacy is a diverse and rewarding career with opportunities for patient care, scientific research, and innovation.

Pharmacists deal with the creation and quality of medicines supplied to patients and ensure that the prescribed medicines are suitable or not, advise them on how to take medications properly, define their side effects, and tackle all patients’ queries.

On this occasion, the Rector of the University of Faisalabad appreciated the student’s performance and highlighted pharmacists’ role in the healthcare system. Dean, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr Samra Bashir, advised future pharmacists to stay loyal to their profession.

ALPHA- TUF team helped the flood-hit people of Balochistan 

Faisalabad, September 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):In continuation of its efforts for the relief of flood-hit people, ALPHA-TUF team visited the affected areas of Balochistan. Under the supervision of Mr Usama Khan, team visited Sohbatpur, Jaffarabad, Dera Allah Yar and adjacent areas. “People are forced to live there in open areas without any proper shelter and there is acute shortage of food and drinking water in these areas” Mr Usama reported.

ALPHA- TUF team worked more than 18 hours continuously and distributed ration packs and water bottles among these affectees. Management and faculty members appreciated the efforts of the team.

Defense Day

Faisalabad, September 09, 2022 (PPI-OT):Centre of Collective Activities (CCA) organized the “DEFENCE DAY “celebration to pay tribute to the martyrs who laid their lives to defend and uphold the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan. Chief guest “Prof Dr Khaleeq ur Rahman, Rector TUF motivated the students in his speech to continue their struggle to uplift over beloved country Pakistan.

He also appreciated the efforts of “ALPHA TUF: STUDENTS FLOOD RELIEF CAMPAIGN ” who are dedicatedly working to help the flood-affected brothers and sisters. Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar also addressed the audience. All Departments presented their donations to the Alpha TUF Team.

Islamic Seminar

Faisalabad, August 31, 2022 (PPI-OT):Department of Arabic and Islamic studies organized a program to commemorate “Shahadat Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS)”. Ms Safia Jaffar, Lecturer in Department of Arabic and Islamic studies delivered a lecture on the personality of Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS). He was the 4th Imam after Imam Hussain A.S. His titles were Zain-ul-Abideen, Syed-ul-Sajideen, and Sajjad. Towards the end of the program, Ms Ayesha Batool recited a Manqabat followed by Darood-o-Salam and Dua.
