Bahawalpur, November 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):Director Industrial Engagement Islamia University Bahawalpur Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan has said that according to the vision of Vice Chancellor Engineer Professor Dr. Athar Mehboob, the Directorate of Industrial Engagement has been established in the university to increase cooperation with industrial institutions so that cooperation between industry and academia.

It should be improved and made useful for university and industrial institutions. Director Industrial Engagement Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan visited Punjab Food Authority along with Dr. Zulfiqar Ahmed, Chairman, Department of Food Sciences and Technology. Former Vice Chancellor Gambia University Africa and Country Director Halal Food Authority Professor Dr. Faqir Muhammad Anjum were also present on this occasion.

On this occasion, Deputy Director Punjab Food Authority Noman Yusuf discussed cooperation and collaboration in teaching and research between the two institutions, capacity building of teachers and officers, food security and quality assurance. Meanwhile, Director Industrial Engagement Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan also visited IT Base Industry Logic Rack. Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Bilal Hassan informed about the company profile and software development.

On this occasion, it was decided that Logic Rack Company will provide employment to 15 students of Islamia University Bahawalpur every year and will cooperate with Faculty of Computing Islamia University Bahawalpur.

Bahawalpur, November 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):Regarding Digital South Punjab Road Show 2022, an event was held at Islamia University Bahawalpur sub-campus Liaquatpur. Digital South Punjab Roadshow Founder Director IT Islamia University Bahawalpur Rizwan Majeed Director Liaquatpur Sub Campus Dr. Muhammad Aurangzeb and IT experts, entrepreneurs and important people related to IT industry from all over Pakistan were present. Digital South Punjab Road Show Founder Director IT Islamia University Bahawalpur Rizwan Majeed said that Vice Chancellor Engineer Professor Dr. Athar Mehboob has been serving in South Punjab for the past 8 years.

After serving in Khawaja Farid IT University Rahim Yar Khan, he was given the charge of Islamia University Bahawalpur. There are now 65 thousand students studying in Islamia University. Bahawalpur, November 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):A memorandum of understanding was signed between Islamia University Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry for mutual cooperation and participation. The signing ceremony of the agreement was held at Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industries. On this occasion, Engineer Professor Dr. Athar Mehboob, Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur Mian Saad Hassan, President Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed the agreement.

Under this agreement, business seminars, conferences, workshops will be organized and business opportunities will be increased with the cooperation of both institutions. Bahawalpur, November 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Digital South Punjab Road Show 2022 is going on in the cities and towns of Rahim Yar Khan District. Last night the Digital South Punjab Road Show was inaugurated with the anniversary celebrations of Sadiqabad Tehsil. Today, on the second day, a huge ceremony was organized in Rahim Yar Khan. Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob was the chief guest on this occasion.

Rizwan Majeed, founder Digital South Punjab Road Show, Director IT, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and IT experts, entrepreneurs and important people from all over Pakistan were present. Vice-Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said in his address that in the era of knowledge economy, Digital South Punjab Road Show will prove to be the best way to bring the knowledge workers of South Punjab to the global market. He said that he has been serving in South Punjab for the last 8 years.

There is immense potential and talent in the youth of this region and through the Digital South Punjab campaign, these youths will make South Punjab the center of information technology not only in Pakistan but also in the world. He said that 8 years ago, he started the work for the establishment and construction of Khawaja Farid University of Information and Technology, Rahim Yar Khan then the educated youth of this region supported him and made the impossible possible in a short period of 4 years. A world-class university was established in the last district of South Punjab.

Now these youths have taken the initiative to make South Punjab the hub of IT and they hope that our youth will make this region the center of IT in the world with their faith and determination. He said that by connecting agriculture and related sectors with IT in this region, the destiny of this region can be changed and a great chain of social and economic development can be started which will bring prosperity to this region.

He said that through the Digital South Punjab road show campaign, policy makers, decision-making institutions will get awareness of the talent of this region and patronize IT infrastructure and IT entrepreneurs in this region and connect them with the national and global market. Digital South Punjab Roadshow Founder, Director IT, Rizwan Majeed said that this sector has billions of dollars of potential and through e-business this region can be connected to the global market. Bahawalpur, November 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur reviewed the teaching, research and development activities on the occasion of his visit to Rahim Yar Khan Campus today. On this occasion, he also visited the under construction academic block consisting of 41 rooms at a cost of 187 million rupees. This academic block consists of faculty rooms, lecture theatres, classrooms and laboratories. The Vice-Chancellor said that this academic block will help meet the rapidly growing needs of teachers and students in the campus.

In the briefing on the occasion, it was mentioned that the campus has made extraordinary progress in every field in the last three years. The number of students has increased from 900 to 7500, similarly the number of faculty members has increased from 13 to 150. The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Director Campus Umair Ashraf for landscaping the campus and making the campus green. He also planted saplings in the campus as part of the plantation drive. The Vice-Chancellor also inaugurated the state-of-the-art fitness center and gym for faculty members and students during his visit to the campus.

On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor also visited the museum site in the campus to preserve the biodiversity of Cholistan. The Vice-Chancellor also inspected the new water tank to improve the water requirements of the campus. During the visit, Campus Director Umair Ashraf briefed the Vice Chancellor about the ongoing curricular and co-curricular activities in the campus and informed that steps are being taken to add new classrooms and laboratories as well as sports facilities in the campus. The campus has achieved the status of a mini university and most of the campus has been landscaped.

Bahawalpur, November 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):A series of events organized by Seerat Chair Islamia University of Bahawalpur, “Seventh of Glory of Prophet Muhammad SAW”, Seerat-ul-Nabi Seminar and Kal Pakistan Inter-University Competitions were organized. The inaugural program of these events was held in Khawaja Ghulam Farid Auditorium, Islamia University, Bahawalpur, in which eminent religious scholar Allama Muhammad Raza Saqib Mustafai participated as a guest speaker.

Dr. Ghulam Haider, Assistant Professor, Department of Islamic Studies, Islamia University, Bahawalpur, organized the program. Dr. Sujeela Kausar, Director Sirat Chair, Islamia University Bahawalpur delivered the welcome address.

In her sermon, Dr. Sujeela Kausar, Director of Seerat Chair, welcomed the guest speaker Allama Muhammad Raza Saqib Mustafai, Ameer of the International Movement of Nizam Mustafa, for visiting Islamia University, Bahawalpur, and on the invitation of Seerat Chair, as a guest speaker in the Seerat-ul-Nabi seminar. On attending thank you. He fully appreciated and thanked Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur Engineer Professor Dr. Athar Mehboob for his special interest and support in all administrative stages.

Dr. Sajila Kausar highlighted the local and national level activities of Sirat Chair, eight international conferences, two national Sirat conferences, one national Quran conference, publication of dozens of Sirat books and articles on Sirat, many training workshops, students at tehsil and district level. And mentioned the endless series of Hasan-i-Qaraat, Hasan-i-Naat, and elocution competitions among female students.

The Sirat-ul-Nabi (PBUH) Seminar and the organization of ‘Kal Pakistan Inter-University Competitions’ is a testament to the performance of the Sirat Chair and is a link in this endless chain. Allama Muhammad Raza Saqib Mustafai, Ameer of the International Movement of Nizam Mustafa SA, “Social Problems of the Present Time and Their Solutions: In the Light of the Prophet’s Biography”. He gave an impressive talk on the topic.

He called his participation in the Seerat-ul-Nabi seminar organized by Sirat Chair Islamia University Bahawalpur, working under the shadow of historical and scientific pedagogy of the country, as a source of honour. He made the hadith of Hazrat Aisha Siddiqah (RA) related to the biography of the Prophet (PBUH) as the basis and described the Holy Qur’an as the main source of the biography of the Prophet (PBUH).

He called the instructions obtained from the Qur’an and Sunnah and the Prophet’s biography as the basis for solving social problems. Also, he gave full attention to Salah-e-Rahimi, caring for relatives, assisting the needy, and informing travellers.

As well as prophetic ethics; talking about truthfulness, trust, honesty, keeping one’s promises, forgiveness, forgiveness, courage, good behaviour and kindness, he said that taking the light of guidance from the Prophet Muhammad SAW and being blessed by it is the solution to all social problems. Finally, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq Ur Rehman, Dean Faculty of Islamic Learning delivered the presidential address on this occasion.
