3 in 5 Pakistanis think that fevers usually occur due to cold: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan

Islamabad, April 04, 2023 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 3 in 5 Pakistanis think that fevers usually occur due to cold.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country, was asked the question “Why do you think colds and fevers usually occur?” In response, 61% said due to cold, 14% said due to infection, 12% said due to bad throat,3% responded that fevers usually occur from wandering in the heat, while 1% responded that they occur from upset stomach, 3% said they occur due to other causes and 6% did not know or chose not to respond.

Islamabad, April 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 76% Pakistanis use plastic bags as compared to only 17% who use cloth bags.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country, was asked the question “What item is usually used in your home to bring goods from the market etc.?” In response, 76% said plastic bag, 17% said cloth bag, 3% said paper bag, 2% Said basket while 2% did not know or chose not to respond.

Islamabad, March 31, 2023 (PPI-OT): According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, almost three quarters (73%) of the Pakistani population thinks that the country’s economic situation has gotten worse in the last six months.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country, was asked the question “In your opinion, how would you describe the current economic situation in Pakistan as compared to the last six months?” In response, 2% said it is a lot better, 10% said it is better, 12% said there has been no change, 40% said the country’s economic situation has gotten worse while 33% said it is a lot worse and 3% said they did not know.

Islamabad, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, half Pakistanis (51%) expect their household savings to decrease in the next six months.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country, was asked the question “Do you expect your household savings to increase, decrease or remain the same in the next six months?” In response, 2% said it will be a lot better, 17% said it will be better, 23% said there will be no change, 24% said that it will get worse while 27% said will get a lot worse and 6% said they did not know.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country, was asked the question “Do you think, in comparison to the last six months, your household savings increased decreased or remained the same?” In response, 1% said it is a lot better, 5% said it is better, 21% said there has been no change, 35% said that it has gotten worse while 38% said it is a lot worse.

Islamabad, March 28, 2023 (PPI-OT): According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 3 in 5 Pakistanis (60%) are of the opinion that unemployment will increase in the next six months.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country, who responded yes to the question “In your opinion, in the next 6 months, unemployment in Pakistan will be?” In response, 3% said it will be lot better, 15% said it will be better, 13% said there will be no change, 32% said that unemployment will be worse while 28% said it will be a lot worse and 9% said they did not know.

Question: “In your opinion, in the next 6 months, unemployment in Pakistan will be?”
