Indonesia KNB Scholarship 2023

Karachi, January 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):DHA Suffa University’s IERC (International Education Resource Center) would like to bring to the attention of DSU’s students and alumni that the Indonesian Government is offering a fully funded scholarship for international students for postgraduate studies at some of the most renowned Indonesian universities. The scholarship will be open for applications from 16th Jan 2023 until Feb 2023. More details about this scholarship can be found in the attached flyer. Government of Brunei scholarship for foreign students

Karachi, January 13, 2023 (PPI-OT):DSU’s IERC (Intl Education Resource Center) would like to encourage DSU students and alumni to apply for the Scholarship for Foreign Students tenable in Brunei Darussalam for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The scholarship provides foreign students with the opportunity to pursue studies at the Postgraduate Master’s Degree level at the following institutions of higher education in Brunei:

Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD),

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA),

Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB),

Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) and

Politeknik Brunei (PB).

A group of BS International Relations students joined internship at one of the leading think tanks “Center for International Strategic Studies Sindh”

Karachi, October 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):A group of BS International Relations students joined internship at one of the leading think tanks “Center for International Strategic Studies Sindh (CISSS)” where they are working under supervision of research experts. The IR program of DSU is known for its highly qualified and supportive faculty, conducive environment and academic engagements. The faculty and students are actively connected with academia, bureaucracy, think tanks, international faculty and organizations, corporate sector, NGOs, media and publishing houses through various collaborative projects.

The International Program of DHA Suffa University is committed to produce the best IR scholars and graduates to fill in the professional and social requirements. Providing internship from a very initial stage will enhance our students’ confidence and understanding of the subject, it will further enable them in building professional linkages for future endeavours.

Panel Discussion on “Preparing Annual Budget”

Karachi, August 27, 2022 (PPI-OT):As part of DSU’s initiative to provide knowledge to determine critical success factors for any organization, Management and Social Science Department at DSU organized a Panel Discussion cum Workshop today on Preparing Annual Budget: Universities, a Case in Point.

The aim of this workshop was to develop an understanding about budgets, forecasting, inflows, and outflows in an organization and also to learn how to enlist your annual running needs, growth plan and apportion them financial values. Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Dean Faculty of Management and Social Science Department and Lead Trainer welcomed the guests and delivered his presentation over the topic.

Mr. Majyd Aziz, Vice President at UN Global Compact Network Pakistan spoke to the participants about corporate sector ground realities and Pakistan’s current economic landscape, its opportunities and challenges. Ms. Nasreen Haque, Vice President (Development and Finance), SZABIST emphasized the need of adopting the latest technologies utilizing innovative solutions for quick decision making and financial management.

Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal Haque, Vice Chancellor, DSU stressed that financial strategies become successful only when implemented within the stipulated time period. After an interactive Q and A session, Brig. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas in his ending remarks expressed his gratitude to the guests for visiting and participating in the event. Along with executives from sector corporate, faculty members from various universities also attended the session.

USEFP UGRAD 2023 Undergraduate Semester Exchange Program for Pakistani Students

Karachi, August 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):DSU’s IERC would like to bring to the attention of all undergraduate DSU students that USEFP’s UGRAD semester exchange program is presently accepting applications and the application deadline is 21st September 2022.

Those students who would like to study for a semester at a US university during their undergraduate studies at DSU are strongly encouraged to apply. Previously, three students from DSU were selected for this exchange program, hence existing DSU students are strongly advised to apply for availing this foreign mobility opportunity.
