Career Services Office Inked Memorandum of Understandings with Institute of Rural Management –

Islamabad, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): Another feather in Career Services Office’s cap. CSO has signed an MoU with IRM, formally a first step towards a digital learning platform. Learning and earning by acquiring 21st-century skills are one of the aims of the Career Services Office.

MoU signed by Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Mansoor Ahmed representing CSO and Dr. S. Hayat CEO IRM in the presence of the Head and Manager CSO and Dean of Management and social sciences.

Upon successful completion, Google will provide a Certificate.

Spell Arranged a Speed Scribing Showdown

Islamabad, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): SPELL (Students’ Panel of English Literature and Linguistics) organized a fun and creative storytelling session on March 10, 2023 wherein participants were challenged to write a short story in thirty minutes. The event was hosted by the Chairperson of SPELL, Qurat ul Ain Fatima, and was attended by special guests Dr. Saqib Zaigham, Ms. Uzma Arshad, and the Patron in Chief of SPELL, Ms. Asma Qandeel. The event was a fast-paced session where participants were encouraged to unleash their inner writer and let their imaginations run wild.

The host guided the participants about the rules. They were given a prompt and had to write a short story in just thirty minutes. The prompt was: ‘You’re a dragon who has been tormenting the town of Goldenberg for years but now there’s competition. “No one can terrorize these people but me,” you think’.

SPELL Organized a Speaking Activity Entitled ‘Fearless Faces’

Islamabad, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): Following is the text of press release issued by Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST)SPELL (Students’ Panel of English Literature and Linguistics) organized an event entitled ‘Fearless Faces’ which aimed at encouraging individuals to confront their fears. The event was held on March 17, 2023. A number of participants took part in the public speaking activity and spoke candidly about their fears. The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed patron of SPELL, Ms. Asma Qandeel and the chief guest, Dr. Saqib Zaigham.

The participants demonstrated tremendous courage and resilience as they shared their personal experiences of facing their fears. Their speeches were filled with inspiration and motivation, encouraging the audience to take on their fears and overcome them.

The Students from Faculty of Pharmacy Visited Kifalat e Yateem Home

Islamabad, March 28, 2023 (PPI-OT): Social Welfare Club’s Team comprising of Members and Executives managed to have – Chit Chat – with young fellows, residing in a boarding orphanage, in Islamabad on 26/02/2023. The visit was paid with reference to Human Solidarity Day, where mini gifts were also distributed.

The visit let the aim achieved i.e. to bring up smiles on all the young faces there. The expenditures were paid by the members of Social Welfare Club, Pharma Spark Society.

Pharma Spark Society Celebrated World Water Day

Islamabad, March 28, 2023 (PPI-OT): The event initiated at 12:50 pm with a 10-min walk across the campus with cut-outs, starting from J-Block to D-Block, followed by a Group Photo posed with cut-outs/Posters. The Event was well attended by reputable Faculty Members Dr. Nadia Shamshad, Miss. Nitasha Gauhar, Dr. Muzaffar Abbas (HOD of Faculty of Pharmacy) and Dr. Ishtiaq Hassan (Director of DSE-CUST). The distribution of water bottles, a modest act of humanism, illuminated the activity.

The 40 clean water bottles were distributed by Dr. Ishtiaq Hassan and Dr. Muzaffar Abbas to attendants and other workers. Moreover, the participation of students enlightened this act. The event videography captured student’s views towards this activity and water importance. By 1:20 pm, the activity had come to an end. Finally, all participants, staff members were humbly thanked for attending the event and raising public awareness about the importance of water.

Pharma Spark Society Organized a Tribute Hour to Commemorate Social Services of Some Big Names from History

Islamabad, March 28, 2023 (PPI-OT): Social Welfare Club, under the supervision of Faculty of Pharmacy, organized a Tribute Hour to commemorate the services of some big names of history and current era that have served humanity in various ways, rendering their lives for the said mission. Activity was named as “Tribute Hour for Social Workers” held on 27/02/2023, in Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad.

Members and Executives presented the services of Mother Teresa, Mam Ruth Pfau, Sir Abdul Sattar Edhi, Shehzad Roy, Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib and many others to close up the hour.
