Islamabad, September 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi NI (M) S. Bt, in his capacity as Pro-Chancellor/ Chairman BoG, chaired the 47th Board of Governors (BoG) Meeting at Bahria University Head Office Islamabad.

Earlier, upon arrival, Chief of the Naval Staff inaugurated the Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (CoEAI) at Bahria University Islamabad Campus. During inauguration, CNS emphasized the importance of Research and Development in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on the future of Pakistan. The BoG meeting was attended by board members including Rector BU, senior Civil/Naval officers and relevant top management of Bahria University.

Islamabad, July 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):Punjab Education Endowment Funds (PEEF), Government of Punjab has announced PEEF Scholarship for Master Level Degree Programs for Year 2021-22. The meritiuos and deserving students from Minorities enrolled in Master Level programs, who are inducted in fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters, are eligible to apply under PEEF Scholarship category.

For Master’s Degree Programs, the eligibility criteria are as under:

Punjab Domicile

Secured at least 60% marks or a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in BA/B.Sc./B.COM/BS/BBA etc. examination held in 2019/2020/2021 (Annual) in Punjab

Secured admission as a full-time student in current academic year (2021-22) in one of the partner university/degree awarding institution:

Students enrolled in spring/falls session (where applicable) are also eligible to apply for PEEF Master’s level scholarship

Declared monthly income of parents (from all sources) is equal or less than Rs. 37,000/

Children of Govt. employees in BPS 1-4 are exempted from condition of income, if salary is only source of income.

Children of civilians martyred in terrorist attacks are exempted from income limit

Besides fulfilling PEEF eligibility criteria, the prospective student must qualify the merit and Need criteria of the respective University/degree awarding institution.

In this context, you are kindly requested to properly advertise PEEF Scholarship in your respective campuses (through notice boards, campus website and class announcements) for all departments of Master Level degree programs.

It is mandatory for students to fill Online PEEF Application Form available at https://bahria.edu.pk/scholarships/peef-online-application/. Later on, the hard copy of Application Form must be submitted to respective HOD office with required documents.

The list of applicants along with their application forms and other documents as mentioned in checklist may be forwarded to the office of undersigned till 30th July, 2022.

For BUHSC, only semester system program falling under subject scholarship’s eligibility criteria are eligible to apply.

Learning Outcome:

The attendees of the ICM course will gain knowledge on the Integrated Coastal Management Importance and its need. They will learn why it is difficult to implement ICM plans, the application process of ICM cycle, national and international policies, and laws pertaining to ICM. Learned speakers will elaborate on the ICM tools, such as the establishment of Marine Protected Areas and some case studies for restoration of ecosystem and damaged environment.

Who Should Attend?

Academics, Professionals working as teachers, mangers, policy makers in Government and non-government institutions/departments related to marine and maritime sector.

All Students who wish to make a career in maritime sector or enhance their knowledge.

All others who use the sea in one way or other and willing to take part in ecosystem restoration on sustainable basis.
