Karachi, June 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):Mahnama Sathee, children’s premier Urdu monthly, is bringing out a special edition titled ‘Ghabrahat Number’ in July 2021. The exclusive ‘Ghabrahat’ edition features a host of stories, poems and write-ups that revolve around children’s anxiety and worries with regards to on-going Coronavirus pandemic, disturbed examination schedules, irregular schooling patterns and uneven routine being followed in everyday life. Appearing in July next month, Mahnama Sathee’s special ‘Ghabrahat Number’ celebrates childhood with its all innocence and highlights the child’s funniest phase of life ruled by distress and worry.
Monthly Sathee, children’s premiere Urdu magazine, is also available online to help children overcome coronavirus boredom, cope with persistent lockdown fatigue and to make the most of their extended school summer vacation. According to Mohammad Tariq, Editor, Mahnama Sathee, children’s literature in Urdu is gaining maturity, reflecting every phase of childhood, comprising diaper-wearing age to post-crawling stages that are largely ruled by naivety, creating adventures, celebrations of small achievements, consistent exploration and the process of discovery.
Started in 1977 in a single-roomed office, Monthly Sathee has emerged as the most popular children’s Urdu monthly in the subcontinent. Despite severe financial setbacks and lack of support by government and literary societies, the magazine is an embodiment of lifelong efforts made by its Urdu writers as well as the publisher.
