Lahore, February 09, 2019 (PPI-OT): Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the present rulers neither had the decision making power nor the capability to deliver and they were heading towards failure at a greater speed as compared to the governments of the PPP and the PML(N). He was talking to the media after inaugurating the Al-Nijat Islamic Centre at Lalamusa, on Saturday.
Sirajul Haq said the Prime Minister Imran Khan had replaced three ministers and claimed that a change had come. In fact, he said, the performance of the PTI government during the last six months warranted sacking the entire cabinet. He said the present PTI cabinet included eight members of the Musharraf era while the others were from the PPP and the PM(N).
These people were responsible for the failure of the previous governments and they were not expected to deliver, he added. He said that the incompetence of the elected people paved the way for the dictatorship. The JI chief said that on the Sahiwal killings, the government had changed its version eight times although Imran Khan had promised that his government would not tell a lie. He said the government had allocated billions for opening cinemas but had raised the expenditure for Hajj. Sirajul Haq said the biggest issue for the masses of the country was price spiral while the youth were facing vast unemployment.
He said the Prime Minister had not fulfilled any of his promises due to which the masses were getting disappointed. The JI, he said, wanted the democratic system to grow strong but the rulers were trampling upon the democratic values. The present ruling party and the previous ruling parties had joined hands in the parliament on a serious Islamic issue. He condemned the forced lifting of senior journalist Rizwan Razi from his home and filing a baseless case against him. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had been condemning forced lifting of citizens but his government was also doing the same. He demanded immediate release of Rizwan Razi.
