Sindh University accrues major breakthrough in the context of federal government funding of Rs. 1600 million as HEC also conveys its administrative approval of the project

Jamshoro, May 15, 2018 (PPI-OT): FIn an expected yet significant development, a big breather and benefit came SU way as Higher Education
commission Islamabad conveyed its approval for execution of the project at SU through a letter released
on May 10 instant; reaching the varsity vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Mohammad Burfat of late.
As per available details, a high-profile meeting of Central Development Working Party, Ministry of
Planning and Development (CDWP) had been held on December 4, 2017 in Islamabad with Prime
Minister’s Advisor Planning and Development Sartaj Aziz in the chair.

The meeting, among other submitted projects had considered development project submitted by
University of Sindh, Jamshoro. Upon successfully catering to all laid down rules, regulations and
requirements the meeting had accorded approval of SU project worth Rs. 1600 million, which had
served as a major breakthrough for the varsity as it was likely to take the varsity to new heights of
infrastructural and technical development.
The efforts of SU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat and Advisor Planning and
Development Cell Sajid Qayoom Memon and other team members of SU P and D Cell deserve deep
appreciation in this context.
