September 6 was day to renew the pledge to defend the ideological and physical boundaries of the country

Lahore, September 07, 2019 (PPI-OT): Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq has said that entire nation is proud of their armed forces that have rendered countless sacrifices to defend the county. He was talking to media after laying floral wreath and offering prayer at Yadgar-e-Shuhada Batapur on Friday.


Senator Siraj said every individual was standing alongside Pakistan Defense Forces to thwart the conspiracies against the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan. The Pak Army, he said, defended the country’s boundaries by sacrificing their lives in the past and gave a bitter response to the enemies. The armed forces, he added, were now even stronger than the time of 1965 and 1971 beside millions of youth were ready to fight alongside the army in case of any foreign aggression.


He said September 6 was not only the day to pay tribute to the martyrs but it was the day to renew the pledge to defend the ideological and physical boundaries of the country. He said Pakistan was gift of Allah Almighty to the Muslims of this region but its agenda was yet to be achieved.


The dream of forefathers to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state was yet to be materialized, he said, adding the nation should stand united to achieve this goal and back those patriotic and Islam lover forces who were struggling hard to transform the country into an ideological state according to the vision of Quaid and Iqbal.


Similarly, said the JI leader, Kashmir was unresolved agenda of the completion of Pakistan as it was declared jugular vein of the country by the father of the nation. Now when Modi government had broken all past records of oppression and brutality in the Occupied Kashmir, it was duty of the government to take practical and decisive steps for the liberation of besieged people from illegal occupation.


He also urged the world to raise voice in support of Kashmiri people who had spent a month under curfew and worst communication blockade. He said thousands of people could die due to severe food and medicine shortages in the held region.


Meanwhile, JI Naib Emir Liaqat Baloch addressed a rally organized in connection of Defense Day. He said September 6 was historic day in country’s history. On the day, said Baloch, the nation and armed forces proved that they would be standing like a rock to defend country’s sovereignty. The rally should slogans in favour of Pakistan Armed Forces and people of Kashmir and vowed to continue support for both.
