Senate strongly condemns the ban on Jamaat e Islami in Held Kashmir

Lahore, March 07, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Senate on Thursday, unanimously adopted a resolution tabled by Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, calling upon the United Nations and the world community to stop India from denying the Kashmiris of their basic human rights and lifting the ban on the Jamaat e Islami, in Held Kashmir.

The Senate strongly condemned the ban on the Jamaat e Islami, in Held Kashmir. The resolution said that the JI had been carrying out services in the fields of education, health and social welfare. The resolution impressed upon the Pakistan government to raise its voice against the ban on the JI in a bid to realize the RSS agenda. It called for lifting the ban and the release of its workers and leaders and de-sealing of its offices and the release of its assets.

The resolution said that the Senate strongly condemned the ban on the JI, Held Kashmir, the crackdown against its workers and leaders and the sealing of its offices in an attempt to realize the RSS agenda. The resolution was also signed by Senator Shibli Faraz, PML (N)’s Senator Raja Zafarul Haq, PPP’s Senator Sheri Rehman, ANP’s Sitara Ayaz, and JUIs Maulvi Faizur Rahman.
