Karachi, June 12, 2018 (PPI-OT): Under Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Dow Dental College (DDC) was established in 2012 at Karachi. The DDC was supposed to get registration with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) before commencing the admission. The College started admission, collected fees from the students and started classes without PMDC registration. On College’s website, it is mention that College is register with PMDC. The corrupt administration of the DDC did not get college registered with PMDC in last six years but collected millions of rupees as admission and annual fees.
The first batch graduated in 2017 and completed house job in 2018 while the second batch just joined the house job. The students of four further batches are attending their classes. In this situation the students and their parents are worried and facing tremendous mental stress because the future of their children is in danger. The parents have formed “DDC Parents Action Committee” to raise this issue and save the future of their children. The Parents also requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto action and order to register DDC with PMDC as he did for many colleges in Punjab.
