Salon Litteraire: The Light Blue Jumper with Shandana Minhas in conversation with Bina Shah

Karachi, July 29, 2017 (PPI-OT):The Salon Litteraire (or Adabi Nashist) is an initiative of the Alliance Francaise de Karachi which brings Pakistani and French writers, both contemporary and past, to the AFK in order to discuss and interact on matters of literature with AFK members and the general public. Thursday, 3rd August – Join award-winning author and independent publisher Shandana Minhas for a conversation about new trends in Pakistani literature.

Shandana, winner of the 2015 French Embassy award for Best Fiction at the Karachi Literature Festival, will discuss science fiction, dystopia, “weird fiction” and genre lit. She’ll also talk about her new publishing venture Mongrel Books and its first novel, a science fiction novel by Sidra F. Sheikh called The Light Blue Jumper. She’ll be joined in conversation by Bina Shah, novelist and columnist, whose dystopian novel Sleep will be published in the United States next year.
