Public opinion on whether Pakistan Day (23rd March) was celebrated with more fervour and passion this year or last year is equally divided: Survey

Islamabad, June 11, 2019 (PPI-OT): According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, public opinion on whether Pakistan Day (23rd March) was celebrated with more fervour and passion this year or last year is equally divided.

 

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people say that Pakistan Day was celebrated with more fervour and passion this year compared to last year, while others say there was not much difference. What is your opinion?” In response, 46% said it was celebrated with more fervour and passion this year, whereas 47% said it was celebrated with more fervour and passion last year. 7% said that they did not know or wish to respond.

 

Question: “Some people say that Pakistan Day was celebrated with more fervour and passion this year compared to last year, while others say there was not much difference. What is your opinion?”

 

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1,480 men and women in urban and rural areas of all four provinces of the country, during April 21-April 30, 2019. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level.
