Lahore, October 06, 2021 (PPI-OT):Delegation of MPAs hailing from South Punjab headed by Mian Mohammad Shafi called on acting Governor Punjab Ch Parvez Elahi at the Governor House here today (Wednesday). Delegation included MPAs Mohammad Shafiq, Asif Majeed, Raees Nabeel Ahmad whereas G. M. Sikander and former Member Zillah Council Rahim Yar Khan Naeem Shafiq were also present in the meeting.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that during my tenure of government peoples welfare projects were completed for removing deprivations of South Punjab which are quite successfully working even now, if Allah provided opportunity in future will also Insha-Allah continue journey of progress without any discrimination.
He said the previous rulers had very badly ignored South Punjab, announcement was made in the budget for there but afterwards funds were transferred to Lahore depriving the people there. Mian Mohammad Shafi and other MPAs said that your services as the Chief Minister for South Punjab are quite appreciable, works of Ch Parvez Elahi in the Punjab are looked upon with respect in South Punjab even today.
