Lahore, October 20, 2021 (PPI-OT):A delegation of Sri Lankan doctors in the leadership of Prof. Dr. Abdul Majeed Chaudhry calls on Acting Governor Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in Governor’s House today. Delegation includes President SAARC Surgical Care Society Prof. M.D Lamawansa, Prof. Bawantha Gamage Secretary General Secretary SAARC Surgical Care Society and Prof. Farooq Afzal President Society of Surgeons Lahore.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that the Punjab government should have controlled the dengue virus in a timely manner. He said that Punjab government should immediately start spraying all over Punjab so that the growing disease of dengue epidemic could be controlled and precious lives could not be lost.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that Sri Lanka controlled the dengue virus in time, Pakistan should also benefit from Sri Lankan research to fight dengue and should send experts to Sri Lanka so that Punjab can also come up with a strategy to get rid of this insidious disease. Sri Lankan Professor Lamawanse said that relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka have always been positive, we are ready to eradicate the dengue epidemic and exchange research cells. He said that Sri Lanka would extend all possible cooperation to Pakistan for the eradication of dengue.
