Plight of the common man has worsened during PTI govt’s first four-month: Liaqat Baloch

Lahore, January 01, 2019 (PPI-OT): Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that contrary to the PTI’s election promises, the plight of the common man in the country had worsened during the first four months of the party rule. Talking to different delegations at Mansoora, he said that the earnings of the people had deceased and their purchasing power had been reduced. The overall national production, especially in agriculture and industry had come down.

Besides, he said, there had been an increase in unemployment, bribery and Safarish. The rich were being given facilities at the cost of the general public, he added. On the political front, he said, the year 2018 had left some bitter memories as the allegations in regard to rigging in the general elections and probe into the 65 punctures was still pending. He said the elimination of corruption and the recovery of the plundered wealth from the corrupt remained a dream. He said the parliament and the provincial assemblies had failed to do any legislation and in finding the solution of the people’s problems. Despite the problem of water shortage, the work on new dams was yet to start.
