Paigham-e-Pakistan Youth Symposium for the students of Sindh and South Punjab concludes at IRI 

Islamabad, January 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):The concluding ceremony of the 1st Youth Training Symposium organized by Paigham-e-Pakistan Centre for Peace, Reconciliation and Reconstruction Studies was held o at International Islamic University, Allama Iqbal Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus, Islamabad. Honourable Wajiha Qamar, Member National Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Education and Professional Training was the Chief Guest.

Professor Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, International Islamic University, Islamabad chaired the concluding ceremony of the symposium. On the occasion, Director General, Islamic Research Institute (IRI), Professor Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul- Haq welcomed the guests.

In her address, Wajiha Qamar said that the youth is the future of Pakistan, youth is the hope. She opined that with the capacity building of youth, we can make Pakistan a strong, prosperous and wonderful country for our coming generations. She said that I am greatly happy to attend this symposium and admire all the youth of Pakistan.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai talked about the role of youth in Pakistan for societal reconstruction. He said that with the collaboration of Pakistani universities, Higher Education Commission and other organizations, we are trying our best to spread the message of Pakistan to all segments of the society particularly youth.

On this occasion, the students representing various universities also expressed their views for better future of Pakistan. They suggested different strategies and proposals for solving problems particularly faced by the youth. The symposium was started on 15 January 2022. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor, Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, IIUI, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Director General, IRI, Prof. Dr. Abdul Quddus Sohaib, Chairman Department of Islamic Studies, Bahauddin Zakaria University, Multan, famous journalist Khurshid Ahmad Nadeem, Dr. Asif Naveed Ranja, and Dr. Tahira Ifraq were the resource persons of the symposium.

During this symposium, the participants also visited Quaid-e-Azam University and participated in the cultural program themed as “Colours of Pakistan”. Students also visited various places of Pakistan. the students were extremely happy on the level of training and showed their commitment and were ready to work as a peace ambassador of Paigham-e-Pakistan.
