Online Quranic Education: 53% Pakistanis affirm that if the facility of online Quranic education were made available in Pakistan, they would be willing to use it: Survey

Islamabad, January 10, 2019 (PPI-OT): According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, more than 1 in 2 (53%) Pakistanis affirm that if the facility of online Quranic education were made available in Pakistan, they would be willing to use it.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Supposing that the facility of online Quranic education becomes available in Pakistan, would you want to utilize it?” In response to this question, 53% replied in the affirmative, 39% replied in the negative, while 8% did not know or did not wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1,141 men and women in urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during 22 December – 29 December, 2018. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level.
