Nearly half of Pakistanis (49%) believe that the situation in the country is better today than it was in 1947: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan

Islamabad, October 06, 2021 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 49% of Pakistanis believe that the situation in the country is better today than it was in 1947.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “Some people think that Pakistan has made a lot of progress since 1947, while others think that the situation in Pakistan today is worse than 1947. What is your opinion?” In response to this question, 49% said that things are better today than they were in 1947, 38% said that things are worse today than they were in 1947 while 10% did not know and 3% did not respond.
