Nearly half (45%) Pakistanis and Britons (49%) don’t want to live to be 100 years old: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan

Islamabad, December 07, 2022 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, nearly half (45%) Pakistanis and British people (49%) don’t want to live to be 100 years old.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country was asked the following question regarding, “To what extent do you agree or disagree with the following statement? I want to live to be 100 years old.” 22% said that they totally agree, 22% said that they somewhat agree, 15% responded somewhat disagree while 30% responded totally disagree.

Comparison between Pakistan and Britain: The same question was asked in Britain by IPSOS (the study can be found here) where 35% said that they want to live to be 100 years old while 49% disagreed. If we compare the results in both the countries, more people want to live to be 100 years old in Pakistan than in Britain. Whereas there is not much difference in the number of people who disagreed with the statement as 45% from Pakistan and 44% from Britain said that they do not want to live to be 100 years old.

Question: “To what extent do you agree or disagree with the following statements? – I want to live to be 100 years old”
