Karachi, May 13, 2018 (PPI-OT): Departments of electrical and computer engineering, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi (MAJU) in collaboration with Artificial Intelligence Society (RAIS) has organized a national engineering competitions event “SPARCOM-18” on Monday at university campus from 9.15 am to 3.45 pm. According to coordinator of this program Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui the competition will provide a platform to engineering students to demonstrate their skills in six different competitions. Around one dozen city universities and educational institutions are participating in this event.
The programs which will be held during these national competitions are Sci World Senior, an engineering projects exhibition in which different universities students will participate. Similarly Sci World Junior program will be an opportunity for the school students to enhance their skills regarding their projects and their exhibition by displaying their respective projects in this event.
The third program BUZZ is a quiz competition in which there will be a set of questions prepared from the subjects of Circuit Analysis, Digital Logic and Economics. Fourth program Circuitrix is a speed wiring competition in which circuit will be provided to the students to construct it on breadboard according to the circuit provided them in the given time.
Next race through is a time trial race competition organized for LFR (Line following robots). In this program contestants will be provided with the arena Calibrate for their robot and secure an upper hand. The last speed programming is a competition based for students programming skills. In this program a certain objective will be given to contestants who required to be completed within the allotted time. The winners of the each contest program will be given cash prizes up to Rs. 30,000.
