MoU Signing Ceremony between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia

Bahawalpur, October 07, 2021 (PPI-OT):A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia for cooperation and collaboration in teaching and research. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and Prof. Dr. Haja Rozia Janur, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic and International Affairs signed an agreement. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Hamid, Rector Universiti Teknologi Mara, Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jameel, Registrar and Dr. Abid Shehzad, Director International Linkages were also present on the occasion.

According to the agreement, the two institutions will exchange faculty and student to benefit from each other’s educational environment, teaching and research related facilities. Similarly, joint conferences, seminars and short courses will be organized. Information from research and other projects will be exchanged which will be posted on the websites by both the institutes. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that the agreement with Universiti Teknologi Mara is a part of the efforts of Islamia University of Bahawalpur under which the University is promoting links with other international universities.

On the occasion, Rector University Technology Mara Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hamid and Prof. Dr. Haja Rozia Janur appreciated the Islamia University of Bahawalpur for creating links with other international universities and expressed full cooperation from their university. Daddy Faisal Ahmed Salleh, Ambassador of Malaysia to Pakistan, said that the agreement between the two universities would further enhance the existing cultural and educational ties with the brotherly country of Pakistan. In recent times, there has been an increase in cultural and economic cooperation between the two countries, which is a significant step. Amna Baloch, Pakistan’s ambassador to Malaysia, said thousands of Pakistanis were living in Malaysia for employment and education, and that the two countries had a historic relationship that was growing.
