Islamabad, May 09, 2018 (PPI-OT): The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Pakistan and Combating Poverty and Climate Change Foundation (CPCCF) have signed a broad Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 2nd May 2018. Combating Poverty and Climate Change Foundation is part of the Savory Global Network, the recognized pioneer of Holistic Land and Livestock Management. It is considered by many as among the best hopes for removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere for sequestration in the soil, thereby combating climate change.

The Foundation is also establishing a facility to train small farmers to make their own organic fertilizers from locally available raw materials that will potentially double small farm incomes and further, along with climate change, combat poverty. WWF is one of the world’s largest conservation organization, working in Pakistan for over 40 years, through its Global Programme Framework. This framework includes biodiversity and human footprint meta-goals.

The purpose of the MOU is to collaborate in identifying, developing and supporting projects where synergies may exist in objectives between the two organizations. The MOU was signed by Hammad Naqi Khan, CEO, WWF-Pakistan and Ahsan Rashid, Executive Director, CPCCF.
