Lahore, October 03, 2021 (PPI-OT): Chairman Executive Committee Punjab Bar Council Haji Mohammad Afzal Dharala, Vice-Chairman Punjab Bar Council Farhan Shehzad and Mian Abdul Rahman Ghafooria advocate called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi and Federal Minister for Housing Tariq Bashir Cheema at their residence here today (Sunday).
Ch Parvez Elahi said that the lawyers’ community is struggling for provision of justice for which we have always supported them, lawyers are important segment of our society. He said that for the first time during our tenure bar associations were given importance to the bar associations at the tehsil level and funds were allocated for welfare and well-being of the lawyers, practical steps were also taken for all lawyers including free medical facility for the lawyers, arrangements were also made for free treatment of bypass and heart, housing society like projects were also started for the lawyers’ community.
Haji Afzal Dharala and Farhan Shehzad said that the first building of the Punjab Bar Council was also constructed during tenure of Ch Parvez Elahi. They said that the bar associations have produced prominent lawyers, service of Ch Parvez Elahi for the lawyers and launching of separate projects for them are such measures for which the lawyers’ community would always be looking upon you respectfully.
