Lahore, February 05, 2019 (PPI-OT): People all over the country observed Kashmir Solidarity Day on the call of the Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, to assure the Kashmiri brethren that the Pakistani nation would extend them all possible help and support till they achieved their right of self determination in accordance with the UN resolutions. Rallies and Kashmir march were held in all major cities and towns on the occasion and the central leaders of the JI besides other speakers addressing the participants declared that Kashmir as the life line of Pakistan and this country would remain incomplete without Kashmir.
They said that the Kashmiris were in fact fighting the war of the completion of Pakistan and the government should extend its full support to them. JI Chief addressed a big Kashmir rally in Karachi which was also addressed by veteran Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani, through audio system. In his address, Sirajul Haq called upon the Pakistan government to formulate a national and state policy for the liberation of Kashmir and the grant of right of self determination to the Kashmiris which should give a road map to liberate Held Kashmir from India hold. He said that this state policy should not change with the change of government.
He also urged the government to activate the Kashmir Committee, appoint a deputy Foreign Minister for highlighting the Kashmir issue and also the atrocities of the Indian forces in Kashmir. He called for observing the year 2019 as the year for the Kashmir issue. He said that an emergency OIC meeting should be called at which the Muslim world should be brought on one page in regard to the solution of Kashmir issue. He said that if the government took one step towards the solution of the Kashmir issue, all political parties would stand by it.
The participants of the rally including women and children, expressed deep resentment over the killings in Held Kashmir. Elderly Kashmiri leader, Syed Ali Gilani, in his audio address, thanked the government and the people of Pakistan for observing Kashmir solidarity day. He said that the Pakistan government had been extending moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris. He said the Solidarity Day was being observed on the suggestion of Jamaat e Islami’s former Ameer, Qazi Husain Ahmed. He said that Qazi Husain Ahmed had made historic struggle for the cause of Kashmir. Syed Ali Gilani prayed for Pakistan and its people. JI provincial chief Muhammad Husain Mehnati and JI Karachi chief Hafiz Naeemur Rahman, also spoke on the occasion.
In the Punjab capital, the rally was held at the Shahrah e Quaid e Azam. Thousands of people, including large number of women and children, joined the rally. JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, JI chief for central Punjab Amirul Azeem and JI Lahore chief Zikrullah Mujahid, addressed the rally. In his address, Liaqat Baloch, urged the world community to break its silence on the Kashmir issue in view of the bloodshed going on in Held Kashmir, and play its role in motivating the UN for the grant of the right of self determination to the Kashmiris. He also stressed upon the Pakistan government to give a roadmap for the liberation of Kashmir.
He said that there could be no talks with India till it abandoned the slogan that Kashmir was its integral part. Amirul Azeem called upon the government to set up an exiled government of the Kashmiris under the leadership of veteran Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani,. He said that Islamabad should not only recognize this government but also establish Kashmir desks at every embassy abroad so that the Kashmiris leaders could themselves present their case to the world at large. The rally in Islamabad was staged around the Aab Para Chowk. JI deputy chief, Mian Muhammad Aslam and JI chief for northern Punjab Dr Tariq Saleem, addressed the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Mian Muhammad Aslam urged the government to adopt solid steps for the solution of the Kashmir issue. He suggested appointing a deputy Foreign Minister to exclusively highlight the Kashmir issue all over the world. At Multan, the rally was taken out from Daulat gate up to Chowk Ghanta Ghar and was led by JI deputy chief Rashid Naseem. He said that the government had not appointed a Chairman for the national Kashmir Committee during the last six months which showed its lack of interest in the matter.
JI deputy chief Asadullah Bhutto led the rally at Sukkur. He was accompanied by General Secretary, JI Sindh, Hizbullah Jhagro. The rally at Faisalabad was led by JI deputy chief Hafiz Muhammad Idrees. Rallies were also taken out at Tandanlian wala, Chiniot , Sheikhpura, ad Sahiwal. The Sahiwal rally was also attended by a large number of local journalists. In Balochistan, rallies were taken out in different cities and towns . The rally in Quetta was led by provincial general secretary JI, Maulana Hidayatur Rahman. JI provincial chief Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, led the rally taken out at Dera Murad Jamali and Dera Allah Yar.
