Bahawalpur, December 09, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Transport Officer Qazi Khalil ur Rahman has said that Islamia University Bahawalpur’s transport fleet consisting of 92 buses and coasters is providing travel facilities to teachers and students in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan Campuses within a radius of 120 km.
The Transport Division keeps altering the bus routes and timings according to the schedule of classes for the convenience of the students. Keeping this in mind, the transport service between the three campuses located in Bahawalpur has been scheduled every half hour. Similarly, the bus service in the neighbouring towns is running as usual.
Transport service in Rahim or Rakhan has also returned to normal after a day of partial suspension. Students can get information about the bus schedule by contacting the university website or the transport office and can also provide suggestions to improve the transport service through their departments.
The Chief Transport Officer has said that all the staff of the transport division are serving the teachers, students and employees very diligently day and night. Soon 10 new buses will also be added to the transport fleet which will further improve the transport operation.
