In connection with Jashan-e-Khudi, a Speech competition was held on the title of “O Tair Lahuti, death is good from this provision”

Bahawalpur, November 03, 2022 (PPI-OT): Punjab Arts Council and Department of Iqbaliyat in collaboration with the Islamia University Bahawalpur Speech Competition. Dr. Allama Iqbal was the owner of a versatile personality, Dr. Rafiqul Islam Chairman of the Department of Iqbaliyat and Philosophy.

The celebration of Iqbal Day has started with the collaboration of Punjab Arts Council and Iqbaliyat Department of Islamia University Bahawalpur. The celebrations started with the exhibition of rare photographs of Dr. Allama Iqbal. In connection with Jashan Khudi, an elocution competition was organized among the students of schools, colleges and universities under the title “O Tair Lahuti Iss Rizk Se Mott Judi”.

The president of the speech contest was Judge Dr. Zeeshan Athar, Associate Professor, Government Post Graduate College, while Assistant Judge Qudratullah Shahzad, former President of the Department of Urdu Sadiq Public School and Assistant Judge Muhammad Mohsin Raza, Lecturer, Department of Iqbaliyat, Islamia University, Bahawalpur. Chairman Department of Iqbaliyat, Dr. Muhammad Rafiqul Islam was the special guest. Dr. Rana Muhammad Shahzad participated as the guest of honour.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Muhammad Rafiq Al-Islam said that Dr. Allama Iqbal was the owner of a versatile personality. Your personality influenced the world of literature and art on a global level. The words said Iqbal’s poetry and thought influenced the whole world. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam said that Iqbal’s message was conveyed to everyone through these events. Dr. Rana Muhammad Shehzad said that it is a pleasure to provide a platform to the students.

Director Punjab Arts Council Bahawal Porsjad Hussain said in the beginning that Jashan Khudi will be celebrated in the same way as Iqbal Day. He said that it is our national duty to convey the message of Iqbal to the young generation. In the competition, the first position was won by Ali Omar Arslan, the second position was by Aswa Maryam and the third position was won by Mohammad Ayub. Similarly, Muhammad bin Latif and Afrah Tahir were given encouragement prizes. Iqbal Day will be celebrated in a grand manner.
