IIUI students attend session on Cyber Security and Safety Tools at US Embassy

Islamabad, November 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):A group of students from different departments under the supervision of Dr Sonia Irum (English Department) attended a session on “Cyber Security and Safety Tools” at the American Center, US Embassy Islamabad. This was one of three events conducted during October (Cyber Security Month) by the American Center.

The first event was Facebook Live via the Lincoln Corner Pakistan Facebook Page, the second was an in-person session by the embassy staff at NUST, and the final session was designed for young female students to educate them about cyber security and train them on how to maintain a safe online presence and online interactions at the American Center.

Mr John Paul Scarpatti (Regional Information Systems Security Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad), Mr Sean Reibert (Branch Chief of Technical Operations at the U.S. Embassy), Mr Ravi Rai (Information Management Specialist at the U.S. Embassy), and Mr Amir Rasheed presented the Seminar (Computer Management Specialist at the U.S. Embassy Islamabad). Students who attended the third session were excited to learn about cyber security and safety tools.
