Lahore, November 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):A special meeting of the Special Committee No. 11 was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in which the issue of publication of ridiculous material on social media about the members of the Assembly was discussed.
Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi said that nowadays fake and ridiculous material is being published on social media by various elements about the members of the Assembly. If timely and strict action is not taken against him then the reputation of Punjab Assembly and its members will be affected. Ch Parvez Elahi directed the concerned agencies to take effective measures to prevent this and to establish a code of conduct and to take stern action against such elements. Officials of FIA and other concerned departments present in the meeting assured the Speaker Punjab Assembly that action would be taken as soon as possible to curb this nefarious practice.
Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja, Chairman Public Accounts Committee Sajid Ahmad Khan Bhatti, Parliamentary Secretary Bait-ul-Mal Nazir Ahmad Chauhan, Parliamentary Secretary Cooperative Muhammad Amin Zulqarnain, Members of Assembly Samiullah Khan, Malik Ahmad Aulakh, Muhammad Muaviya, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Additional Secretary Home Ali Annan Qamar, Director Law and Parliamentary Affairs Barrister Muhammad Ishaq and Director FIA Babar Bakht attended the meeting while Secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti and DG Parliamentary Affairs Inayatullah Lak were also present.
