Lahore, September 09, 2019 (PPI-OT): MQI leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Hussain (AS) was truth and Yazid a falsehood. He said that Karbala represented a clash between those representing truth and falsehood, stating that the Prophet’s household converted Yazidiyat into a severe word till the Day of Judgement through their sacred blood. He said that by rendering the supreme sacrifice of his life, Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) gave a message of resistance to the forces of mischief, oppression, and fascism. The Holy Prophet (SAW) vowed to love those who would love Imam e Hussain (AS).
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Hazrat Imam e Hussain (AS) accepted to offer the sacrifice of his life but did not endorse the fascist, oppressive Yazidi system of government. Thus he has upheld the banner of Islam, the religion of his grandfather (SAW), till the Day of Judgement. He said that eternal salvation and the protection of one’s faith lies in the love of the prophet’s family. The Holy Prophet (SAW) said that he who would hold on to his family and the Holy Quran would never be led astray.
MQI leader said that the death in the way of Allah Almighty is not death; rather it is a harbinger of eternal life and a special blessing of Allah Almighty. Not everyone is considered to be deserving of this unique honour. He said though the prophets and saintly people of Allah put up a resistance to the oppressors in every age for the sake of Allah’s pleasure and rendered sacrifices for this purpose, the universality and acceptance that came to the share of the martyrs of Karbala could not be achieved by anyone else.
Dr Qadri said that the tragedy of Karbala did not happen all of a sudden. Allah Almighty had revealed the details of the heart-rending tragedy of Karbala to the Holy Prophet (SAW). Even the companions were in the know of it. He prayed to Allah Almighty to enable us to shun the Kufi practice of being silent on the oppression and render every kind of sacrifice for truth.
