The opening ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2018 will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium.
The ceremony will have a slightly different format compared to previous editions of the tournament.
This time, the ceremony will focus on musical acts and will take place much closer to kick-off, just half an hour before the start of the match.
Teams are practicing and playing the warm-ups ahead of the scheduled beginning of the Grand Cup.
Russia will face Saudi Arabia in the first match of FIFA World Cup 2018 tomorrow.
A joint North American bid has been chosen as host of the 2026 World Cup, following a FIFA association member vote in Moscow today.
The last time the US hosted a World Cup was in 1994, and Mexico in 1986.
The North American bid received 134 of the 203 votes, while Morocco polled 65 in the vote of the FIFA Congress in Moscow.
The 2026 tournament will be the biggest World Cup ever held – with 48 teams playing 80 matches over 34 days.
