Karachi, March 10, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Dramatics Society at Generation’s School, one of the oldest, aims to inculcate within students a passion for the performing arts, the Dramatics Society hosted their much-awaited event Shaam e Sæher under the thematic tagline ‘Aik Dafa Ka Zikr Hai’ at Generation’s South Campus Auditorium. Reviving the art of story-telling as its core theme, Aik Dafa Ka Zikr Hai began with the English Play titled “The Six Words of Life,” which depicted the journey of its characters as they struggled to define their story in just six words.
The Urdu play titled “Dasht-e-Hu” was a one-act tragicomedy depicting a mental asylum run by an ambitious doctor who had taken it upon himself to fix everyone. A remarkable choir, featuring students from the Nasheed Society added melodious notes throughout the event.
Mr. Faisal Subzwari graced the occasion as Chief Guest and was all praise for the students’ exemplary performances. He highly appreciated the scripts conceived, written and directed by the students, indicating a robust student leadership and empowerment programme. Established in 1990, the value of holistic education is key to the Generation’s experience. The School offers a unique learning culture for students, staff and parents who are anxious to be more than just spectators on life’s stage.
