Doing good is its own reward: 60% Pakistanis believe that a lot of people do good for which they are neither rewarded nor recognized: Survey

Islamabad, February 20, 2019 (PPI-OT): According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, more than half of all Pakistanis (60%) believe that a lot of people do good for which they are neither rewarded nor recognized.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Please tell us whether you consider the following statement to be right or wrong: a lot of people do good for which they don’t get rewarded, nor do they get recognized?” In response to this question, 60% said it was right, 32% said it was wrong, while 8% did not know or did not wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1142 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during 24 January – 28 January, 2019. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level.
