Construction work of Karachi University Model School begins

Karachi, March 03, 2019 (PPI-OT): The construction work of University of Karachi Model School, which is being sponsored by the renowned industrialist Sardar Yasin Malik, has been started under the supervision of Brig (R) Muzaffar ul Hasan. The KU has allocated around two acre land and approximately 1000 students would get education from this school in near future. The ground-breaking ceremony of the model school was held in August 2018. These views were expressed by the KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan while chairing an informal meeting.

On this occasion, the KU VC also expressed his gratitude and acknowledged Sardar Yasin Malik contribution in education sector. He said the school level education is the foundation for higher education, but in our country ineffective schooling has badly affected the performance of students. He explained that the KU has decided to set up the school for the children of faculty and staff members of the varsity as well as others. Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan believes that education is the only power which could uplift nations.

“We must educate and provide quality schooling to children and their base must be strong in order to achieve results in the higher level of education. The school level education played a vital role in a person’s development and character-building.” He observed that if the students had a weak background in early education, then they would not be able to perform better in their academic lives.
