Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s message on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Karachi, November 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that torture and violence against women as well as girls is a crime legally and unacceptable for any society based on justice. In his message on eve of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Chairman PPP that his party has zero-tolerance for violence against women.

He further said that PPP government as well as Party itself have always taken significant and revolutionary initiatives to strengthen the role of women in every field, based on the slogan of the strong women, strong Pakistan. “PPP is the only Party in Pakistan where women feel more protected, respected and rewarded without any gender discrimination,” he pointed out.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the PPP elected women as Prime Minister, Speaker, and Ministers, and paved ways for the women being appointed on key posts like Judges, Police Officers etc. First Women Bank was launched by Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and she also established separate police stations manned by the women for women. He pledged that PPP would continue to legislate for women empowerment and creating equal opportunities for them besides ensuring their safety and honour.
