Faisalabad, July 28, 2021 (PPI-OT):Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization, NTU is endeavouring to strengthen university and industry linkages to tap the opportunities for applied research and commercialization of technologies. In this regard, ORIC, NTU hosted the CEO of Rafhan Maize and his team. Mr. Usman Qayyum, CEO Rafhan Maize visited NTU, accompanied by Mr. Farhan A. Malik, Director Industrial Business; Mr. Kaleem Akhtar, Manager Textile Business; Mr. Nadeem Shahid, Manager R and T.
They met Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Rector NTU; Dr. Ahsan Nazir, Director ORIC; Muhammad Waqas, Deputy Director Industrial Linkages; and Dr. Affan Abid, Assistant Professor TPD. A number of topics for cooperation were discussed. Both parties were committed to bring innovation in textiles, sustainability and value addition. Rafhan maize will join hands with NTU for research and development and will also provide fellowships to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
