Lahore, The Virtual University of Pakistan has unblocked Learning Management System (LMS) accounts for students, enabling them to select courses for the Spring 2024 semester. This decision comes as part of the university’s effort to facilitate uninterrupted academic progress.



According to Virtual University of Pakistan, the reinstatement of LMS access aims to assist students in their academic planning and course registration processes. However, the university has advised students to settle any outstanding dues promptly to prevent future account restrictions.



This move is designed to ensure that students can continue their studies without administrative hindrances, reflecting the university’s commitment to maintaining educational continuity.

Punjab University Announces Eid-ul-Fitr Prayer Timing at Jamia Mosque

Lahore, In an announcement that marks the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Punjab University has scheduled the prayer time at its Jamia Mosque, Quaid-e-Azam (New) Campus. The congregation will gather at 7 a.m. for the prayer, which signifies the culmination of Ramadan, a month of fasting and reflection for Muslims around the world.

According to University of The Punjab, Dr. Mufti Muhammad Muaaz will lead the Eid prayer as the Imam. The university invites students, faculty, and the broader community to participate in this significant religious observance.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a time of joy and gratitude for Muslims, marking the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Government Jinnah College Clinches Victory in Inter-College Ramadan T-20 Cup

Karachi, In a spirited display of cricket, Government Jinnah College emerged victorious in the Inter-College Ramadan T-20 Cup, defeating Government College 36B Landhi No. 4 in the final match. This triumph was celebrated at the closing ceremony of the tournament, which has been praised for promoting cricket at the grassroots level and discovering future stars of the sport.

According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the initiative, supported by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, has been commended by Syed Najmi Alam, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Sindh. He highlighted the significance of nurturing young talent and providing them with the necessary facilities to excel in cricket. The commendation came during the closing ceremony held at Eidgah Ground Nazimabad, where the efforts of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi and the tournament committee were lauded for their excellent organization of the event.

The tournament not only showcased the potential of young cricketers but also brought to light the challenges faced by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi, particularly regarding the retrieval of five grounds previously taken by the Municipal Corporation. Khalid Nafees, Chairman of the Tournament Committee, emphasized the importance of regaining these grounds to enhance club cricket in Karachi.

The final match was a nail-biter, with Government College 36B Landhi setting a target of 75 runs, which was chased down by Government Jinnah College with three wickets in hand. Player of the match honors went to Naeem Gul of Jinnah College, with notable performances from Kashan Faheem, who scored 25 runs, and bowlers Saifullah and Hasan Ali Khan.

The ceremony concluded with Syed Najmi Alam distributing awards to the winning team, including a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh to Rizwan Khan, captain of Jinnah College. Islamabad, The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has partnered with Islamic Relief Pakistan, formalizing their collaboration through a Letter of Interest (LOI) to establish a referral mechanism aimed at aiding vulnerable community members. The signing ceremony, which took place at IIUI, saw the participation of both organizations’ key officials, marking a significant step towards joint humanitarian efforts.



According to International Islamic University Islamabad, Ms. Nuzhat Zareen, Director of UAFA at IIUI, signed the LOI with Mr. Said Usman, Area Program Manager of Islamic Relief Pakistan. The event was attended by key personnel including Miss Mehnaz Kousar, Syed Naveed Ehtisham, Noor Hussain, and other officials from both organizations, underscoring the commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation for community support.



Mr. Said Usman, during the ceremony, highlighted Islamic Relief Pakistan’s ongoing project WASYLA (Women Aligned for Sustainable Youth-Centered Livelihood Action) in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Quetta. He emphasized the organization’s dedication to forming synergies with government and semi-government institutions to promote and support community groups in their humanitarian endeavors. Islamic Relief Pakistan’s broader activities encompass poverty reduction, technical skills enhancement, support for individuals with disabilities, water and sanitation, food security, livelihoods, climate change adaptation, health services, orphan support, women’s empowerment, emergency response, and disaster risk reduction.
