Karachi, July 16, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Vice Chancellor of Dow University of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Quraishy said that we want to extend the university charter by setting up Fine Arts and Language faculties soon. We encourage extra-curricular activities in the students of Dow and hence, showcasing one of the brilliant works of writing the different aspects of life into poetry by MBBS third year student which should be of great appreciation.
He said while speaking as the Chief Guest at Launch Ceremony of the Poetry book “GRAVITY OF EMOTIONS” by Haneen Moosa held at Arag Auditorium. Former Federal Minister Nisar A Memon, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zarnaz Wahid, Head of Media Sciences, SZABIST, Mr. Taimoor A Soori, Assistant Professor Naheed Malbari and the author herself spoke to the audience at the ceremony.
Prof. Mohammed Saeed Quraishy said that being a medical professional, we are there in the good and bad times in which our patients seek care from us. Dow University aims to provide graduate and post graduate education as well as groom the young doctors to be true to humanity. We strive to maintain a balance between education, sports and other extra-curricular activities.
Former Federal Minister Nisar A Memon said that Haneen Moosa has described the heart, mind and the feelings of the soul in her book. He added that the country’s defense is essential but the unconventional safety would only be possible with the improvement in education and health sectors of the country. With the launch of this book by MBBS third year student, we have set a great example of encouraging extra-curricular activities that she was able to compose a strong rhyme penning down the emotions of life.
Dr. Naheed Malbari said that the book of this young and emerging poet consists of three sections; part one covers the different aspects of life and highlighted the complexity of life in a simple manner. She further said that the second part of the book showcases the patriotism and her love for our country Pakistan. She said that every verse said by Haneen Moosa can be felt in the core of the heart.
Prof. Taimoor A Soori said that the poetry of Haneen Moosa is a manifestation of a comprehensive observation that cannot be achieved without an impression. Referring to “Let’s Go” in the book, he said that it has covered a message for success. This book is an example of the poetic maturity of Haneen Moosa, it is not easy for a common person to pen down such a scenario of circumstances. At the end of the ceremony, Haneen Moosa presented her book to the Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Saeed Quraishy and others.
