Beautiful image of Pakistan showcased at Rawalpindi Arts Council

Rawalpindi, August 02, 2017 (PPI-OT):To present the beautiful and positive image of the country, an All Pakistan Painting Exhibition entitled “Beautiful Pakistan” was arranged under auspices of Rawalpindi Arts Council here on Wednesday in connection with 70 years of Independence celebration of Pakistan. Senator Najma Hameed Member and Punjab Assembly Lubna Rehan Pirzada flanked by PML-N Cultural Wing President Riffat Abbasi, Vice President Samina Abbasi, Tehsil Member Shazia Rizwan, Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed.

More than forty artists from all over Pakistan participated in the exhibition. The art pieces include landscape and old architecture has been put on display till5th August 2017. Sticking to landscapes or rural and urban scenes, most artists used oil on canvas as their medium.

The artists include Khurram Shahbaz Babari, Riffat Khattak, Munawar Hussain, Ashir Sindhu, Ahmed Habib, Israr Farooqui, Saima Amir, Amna Tariq, Nadya Reza, Mohammad Afzal, Ikramul Haq Sulehri, Saima Adnan, Mirza Shakil Aslam, Shakeel Khan, Sarwat Kazim, Zahid Ashraf, Saira Yasir, Maher Rasheed, Younis Roomi, Lubna Jemz, Samrah Hassan, Fariha Butt, Wahaj Ahmed, Maria Kareem, Shakeel Tabasum, Rimsha Suhail, Bushra Qaisar, Wajeha Abid, Sumal, Saba Kamal, Zarema, Amna, Nawaz Khan, Razia Najma, Kausar Parveen, Sameel, Aleema Akbar, Summiya Sana, Waqas Ahmed, Qazi Aqib, Furqan Aslam and Imtishal Tahir.

Addressing at inauguration ceremony, Senator Najma Hameed said that Pakistan is a blessing of God which has been blessed by everything. She said by watching exhibition of renowned artists, the beauty of the country can be imagined. MPA Lubna Rehan Pirzada said all artists showed positive and soothing image of the country which shows their love for it. Naheed Manzoor said applauded the art work done by young artists. Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed thanking all the participants the celebrations of Independence would be continued throughout the month.
