Manaqib-e-Hazrat Ali (A.S) and Drood-e-Ehl-e-Bait Athaar (A.S)

Faisalabad, April 15, 2023 (PPI-OT): Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies organized a spiritual event on “Manaqib-e-Hazrat Ali (A.S) and Drood-e-Ehl-e-Bait Athaar (A.S)” in TUF Saleem campus on April 12, 2023. After recitation of Holy Quraan and Naat-e-Rasool Maqbool (SAW), students offered Manaqib. Renowned Islamic Scholars and motivation speakers Prof Dr Najma Bano, Department of Islamic Studies, GC Women University Faisalabad, Dr Sumera Naqvi from Govt Graduate Islamia College and Ms Safia Jaffar from TUF participated in panel discussion. Asst Prof Dr Humera Khalil from TUF was moderator of the session.

During the discussion, panellists paid rich tribute to the great companion of Holy Prophet (SAW) saying that there was no other personality that could be compared with Hazrat Ali (A.S) in knowledge, wisdom and bravery. They stressed the need to follow the Seerat and teachings of Hazrat Ali (A.S) and Ehl-e-Bait Athaar (A.S) in true letter and spirit.

PU Department of History organizes Qirat, Naat competition

Lahore, April 15, 2023 (PPI-OT): Punjab University Department of History and Pakistan Studies’ Ibn e Khaldun society organized competition of Qiraat and Naat. On this occasion, Chairman Department of History Prof Dr Mehboob Hussain, faculty members and students were present. In his address, Dr Mehboob congratulated the winners. He shed light on the glory and significance of the holy month of Ramadan.

He appreciated the Ibn e khaldun society for organizing the event. A number of students participated in the Naat and Qiraat competitions. There was a tie between Tayaba Tariq and Muqaddas Hussain in Naat competition while Qirat competition was won by Hafiz Khushaal Khan. They were presented with certificates and gifts by Dr Mahboob Hussain.
